Better late than never right? Here's our 2014 year review:
January. Bitty baby. Working mom woes and stresses (oh my heavens). Trying to be a good mom and wife--and mostly feeling like I was winging it, and sometimes falling short. Chubby baby legs and head-top curls.
February. Busy work, busy school. Trying to squeeze in some hubby time, like every spare minute. Tummy time for baby. Lots of running on the indoor track for mom + baby.
March. SUNSHINE! Baby eats real food. Almost the end of the semester for the hubbs. My knee drama and pain and sorrow.
April. End of semester. Graduation of the Matson lovers. Visit from the Papa man. Surprise visit to Ohio for Momma Drake! Baby's first flight.
May. Summer time at last. Lots of working for the husband. Family hikes. Lots of rides on the scooter.
June. First family vacation to Georgia for my work conference. Visit with the Rupps in Marietta, a tour of Savannah (including getting lost 3x), baby's first visit to the beach! First time getting to be those parents with a screaming baby on a flight (eeekk!). MY MARATHONNNN. Moab with our twin Beenfields. So fun.
July. 4th in Lewiston. First family pictures. Visit from the Drake family on their way home for NM. Bear Lake take one. Complete with a broken boat and storm (but lotttsss of fun times). Pioneer Day 5k as a family.
August. Bear Lake take 2 with the Beenfields. So fun. Baby's first camping trip--lots of giggles, sand, and splashing. Our initiation as parents into camping with a baby--let's just say nights were not our favorite :). Anniversary trip to Ouray, Colorado ( :D ), Madeline's first Camp Matson. Baby walks.
September. First PA interview for Scott!! Four daily walks for baby. Start of Scott's LAST YEAR OF SCHOOOOL. Well, undergrad. I started clogging again :) Hip hip hooray! Baby runs.
October. Baby's first birthday!! :D Halloween and autumn joy. Family pictures with the Beenfields. Pumpkin patch with Aaron, Rachel, and Miss Abby.
November. Scott interviews at Marietta (OHIO!). Thanksgiving with the Beenfields in Riverdale. We apparently boycott taking pictures this month.
December. End of the semester woes. Christmas festivities. Seeing the Salt Lake lights with the Beenfields. Christmas in Cincinnati! Joyful fun with the Drake siblings. Family pictures again :).
Cheers to the 2014 365. We learned and laughed and grew and cried. It was an amazing year. So many blessings. On to 2015!
